I made a thread a while back, saying BotW definitey has the potential to be the next OoT. However, I was concerned that people may give it lower reviews for clicks or due to it departing from the traditional Zelda gameplay.

After seeing the reviews, my concerns have been removed for any sort of mishaps. Heck, the game seems like it is almost flawless (note almost). The game is clearly being accepted by both long-time fans and reviewers known for being harsh. When we delve deeper into the reviews, none of them are the same. They all discuss these tiny but noticeable details that had them feel amazed. Combining all of these together, it is clear that the master mind behind BotW is a pure genius (along with all the 300 developers).

For example (minor spoiler), a reviewer pointed out that the AI will kick back bombs you throw at them, and will not just sit and attack like puppets. Someone else was fascinated with the NPC dialogue. Basically everyone was in love with the world and couldn't get enough.

Even without playing the game, I think I'm starting to see a pattern- the game is hard to not like. It brings the difficulty people loved in the traditional Zelda, but now it isn't because of lackluster controls. It features that breathtaking world of The Witcher 3, although it isn't as mature. Is that a good or bad thing? It's neither- my point however is that the game manages to attract attention to mature and young audiences (kudos to Witcher for being a great mature game though).

I'm probably gonna pick up BotW for Wii U and Switch- I feel as though it'll be like Uncharted 4, Mario Galaxy, and so many other games we have connected the word 'great' with.

I think what I love more is the world itself. I'm a huge fan of art, so anything which has that special, unexplainable attractiveness always has me wanting more of the game. Even by watching only a few minutes of BotW footage, I already have myself wanting more of it. They clearly paid off with the artstyle they chose
