^ this. It wasnt really a favorable review. They basically said "wait and see" "dont impulse buy it" in the video.
From the article: "However, as a launch product, the £280/$300 price-point is a big ask compared to the competition, especially bearing in mind a launch title line-up based primarily on Wii U ports. There are also many extra costs too - a larger SD card is essential, the Pro controller is recommended for home use, and an external powerbank is worthwhile on the go. For now, what we have is a strong foundation to build on; it's pricy and not without fault, but we can't wait to see where Nintendo take the concept."
It was cool they did a thermal recording of the game console in idle (30 ish degree celcius) and upto 52-53 degrees while playing docked. It didnt sound like noise was a big issue or anything either. plus:
Dont sit more than 2m from your console. If you dont plan on holding the joy-cons carefully and pointed forwards towards the console dock, without obstructions in the way. |
Good image! I don't have things obstructing my path so should be good. Still, Nintendo should do what it must to fix any potential issues.
Also, make the WiiU gamepad backwards compatible Nintendo!..
...I love my gamepad.
