I think the point he was making is that this opens doors for them that they preciously had little to no access to. So yes the way he is viewing things that is how he feels and I can respect and see where he is coming from.  He is looking at it from the perspective of a father and there is nothing wrong with that. So no it is really not off topic.

Ok, the guy is worried, so I guess it's not completely off topic for him.

I guess my point was (and still is) that if you worry about sexual predators and child molestors, transgenders should not be the focus of that conversation; child molestors should be. Child molestors are not the same thing transgenders, so in that sense it's off-topic to me.

I have 2 daughters myself, and transgenderism doesn't worry me one bit more than 'straight' people when it comes to the restroom.

Yeah I have a son and a daughter and can see where he is coming from. Andthat was the point I think that got mixed up....he never said he had a problem with transgerism. He was saying for child molesters etc this opens doors for them that could only dream about. Because it would be considered "normal" to see a grown man going into the womens restroom and no one would think twice about it. He was saying it could be exploited because of that which I can see. Not saying that transgenders are all child molesters but that child molesters could and more than likely would take advantage of the situation.

I guess that's why this is such a sticky subject because it opens up so many other doors and issues so there is a lot ot be discussed on that. Again me personally to each his/her own but I can understand and respect the issues from both sides even if I don't agree with all of them.
