Odin Sphere has five main characters who are all playable for equal lengths of time and all have equally important contributions to the story. While the female protags outnumber the males 3:2, I would argue that you can't say there is a singular "main" character.

 

You could argue Velvet is the main character due to her proximity to the main Antagonist until you realize that Gwendolin is the reason Onyx turned into a big bad, Cornelius is the son of a big bad, and Ingway/Darkova only got involved because he hates Cornelius.

 

God Odin Sphere was a great game.
