PS3 sales weekly haven't been larger than Wii (trust me) but total sales since March 23rd or whatever have until last week.

Ahh, clever - so "cumulative sales" since the PS3 launch of the PS3 have exceeded sales of the Wii/360 ;) Nice stat that one.

The problem is this: now that the Wii has now sold more Wii's since the PS3 launch, than PS3s sold - this gap will continue to grow indefinitely ;)

They should have released that spin (oops, I mean 'press release') a couple of weeks earlier.

I agree that the PS3 has very little momentum here at the moment. Its still WAY too expensive for the average person, even disregarding the "free game" offer out at the moment.
