Sony said the pro is doing better than expected and the slim is doing worse.  Until we see some worldwide numbers instead of Japan only I wouldn't say the pro is not successful.

I'm not saying "not successful" I'm saying not as successful as the main ps4 and not a hot item like the main ps4 for the masses. "power" is not a selling point for the general consumer if they can buy "the same thing" for less money. Do you think that normal consumers care about framerate (they don't even know what that is) and a "4k" resolution when that resolution is not even mainstream yet. Again, the ps4 pro could have some good sales but it's not neccessary for their success. It's a product for gaming enthusiasts, that's why the normal ps4 with uncharted 4 costs $250 most of the time.

The pro was never intended to be the new main PS4. The console was made to appeal to a broader market and the posibility for people to upgrade their console. In doing those things the pro was a succes even if 2160p isn't very common on PS4 pro. Sony also introduced the pro to lengthen this gen. Time will tell if that's going to work out. But the masses will still go for the PS4 slim.
