I'm betting that is *exactly* the thinking. I mean, if your cases are 1/4 the size of a PS4 case, you need 4 times as many cases in a store to even have the potential to occupy the same space. Plus, bigger box art. Vita games have good box art but it's hard to grab someone's eye if the game case is so small. This won't help a huge degree either way, but every little bit helps.
