Publisher gets to decide the price, you as a consumer can wait it out for a sale or just plainly not buy it.
Just buy a product when it reaches your price range.

Still a stupid move on the part of a publisher. I can get Rayman Legends on Wii U/360 at my local EB for under $10 AUD, why would I pay $80 for the Switch version? Likewise, I can get Skyrim on 360 for under $20, or even the remastered PS4 version for under $50, yet they'll be flogging the Switch version for $80-100.

Then they'll bitch and whine about how Nintendo gamers don't buy their games, when it's their own fault for blatantly overcharging.

Yeah, Rayman Legends is good but it's not Last of Us/Mario Kart 8/etc.  That is, a game with enough praise behind it that people will pay full price to get it as a more or less straight up enhanced port.  I mean, if it had exclusive content they could go standard game MSRP for the retail maybe.  But to my knowledge, the differences just do not warrant it.
