Those aren't gimmicks though, they give people different ways to play, after the Wii, it was hard for me to go back to sticks for FPS. Same with maps and inventories on the touch screen. Until you've had them on a second screen it seems pretty archaic to have to constantly interrupt the game by pausing and cycling through the menus with sticks.
