Likely the reasoning is that the new 3DS was targetting existing customers, for better or worse. If a brand new system shipped without a charger...I would find that a much bigger offense. 2. Ionno...this one seems pretty general. 3. Subjective, and can apply to anything. 4. Understandable, but definitely sucks still. 5. The complaint only exists in the Pro Controller, which isn't the default model. See Captain Yuri's post above. 6. I'm annoyed with this too, but it seems par for the course. There were lots of PS1/2 games I had on my PS3 that weren't on PS4 after I bought it. 7. I mean...okay. Sucks...but Nintendo isn't the only company with underutilized IPs. 8. Assumptions...and even if it was true, it's understandable given the Wii U's initial situation. 9. Valid complaint 10. 3DS had one of the most significant price cuts in recent memory shortly after launch. No idea about the Wii U, but I know I've seen it selling for $250 on online stores, which is pretty significant. 11. Uh...come on. Did you really think this a problem, or were you just padding this list? 12. Valid complaint. 13. I'd like a bundle...but if that drove the price up, I'm fine with it being the way it is. If the point is not to drive the price up, that point has already been made. 14. Valid complaint. I mean, plenty of these problems aren't unique to Nintendo, and while that isn't a counterpoint...it does help to look at the entire industry, and not just Nintendo in a vacuum. |
Thank you for taking the time for such a thorough response! It all boils down to the greed. I agree that there is a lot of greed out there, but I think Nintendo takes the current video game cake. I have no power cord for a 3DS XL. I own no Nintendo system. Even if money for the power cord is a non issue, the average consumer would not think that anyone would dare to not include an essential part to make the product work. I still have never heard of any other company doing this. If there is a slack employee, or an ignorant one, they may sell the system with no power cord. I would be furious. I will not ever buy one new because of that issue alone. It's the principal. I may get a used one. Hopefully with a power cord!
