I get your point, but this is the same as calling Kinect Adventures and Nintendo Land a major release. I have no problem with that, but 1-2 switch should also be declared a major title, shall it become a success like Wii Sports(not on that level, of course).

Well I don't think it would be a stretch to say that Kinect Adventures & Nintendo Land were major releases.

The difference is that Kinect Adventures & Nintendo Land were both mass bundled while Nintendogs+Cats was not.

N+C sold that well because people wanted it while it is unknown how many people wanted KA/NL and instead got it simply because it came with the hardware.
