It does, because it shows how you don't fact check before you make your claims. |
It's so fucking hard to post now with VGC connection problems. Also the format is tricky, to quote something from the Swedish newspaper.
An attempt (this is from Atonbladet, who in bold cites the claims made by Fox).

Weapons crime and rapes have risen since Sweden opened its borders.
According to the authorities (statistics from Brå – Brottsförebyggande rådets nationella trygghetsundersökning) 13 percent of the Swedish population was subject to a criminal act in 2015.
In comparison with 2014 that’s an increase, but approximately the same as 2005. According to a report from Brå 2015, leathal violence has decreased in Sweden the past years.
In 2015, 85 100 cases of assault were reported to the police. That is a two percent increase compared to the year before.
Also 2015, there were 5 290 reported rapes, a 12 percent decrease compared to 2014.
The police have a special code for incidents where migrants are involved. Thomas Wallberg, commander in chief at the national police headquarters, has been quoted in the Swedish Daily Dagens Nyheter stating refugees are involved only in a few of the police matters in Sweden.
------
My comment: the whole rebuttal is misleading on purpose. They nitpick one statistic, that lethal violence in Sweden has decreased in recent years, but of course they forget to tell you that Swedish police changed their registration process a few years ago. In the past it was very common that a deathly crime was registered twice, so our past murder data is artificually inflated.
"The police have a special code for incidents where migrants are involved. Thomas Wallberg, commander in chief at the national police headquarters, has been quoted in the Swedish Daily Dagens Nyheter stating refugees are involved only in a few of the police matters in Sweden."
That's a highly manipulative quote. Many of the 160,000 refugees who came in 2015 aren't even registered in the country, and much less in 2015 and 2016, so they're not even going to be properly registered in crime statistics. Plus they're manipulating with the use of the word "migrant", when in fact in this context they're talking only about recent arrivals (not all migrants, because that's a ten or more times larger group than the 160,000 that arrived in 2015 and cause a hell of a lot higher percentage of crime than "involved only in a few police matters").

Refugees are behind the rise of crime, but authorities are not disclosing theses facts.
There are no statistics to support this statement. When it comes to people being convicted for crimes, Brå does not regularly investigate their ethnicity. On the other hand, there is a report from 2005 that shows that people born outside of Sweden are more likely to be suspects in crimes compared to people being born in Sweden. According to the liberal web site Migrationsinfo.se, it has to do with conditions related to their home country, standard of living in Sweden and discrimination within the court system.
My comment:
WTF?! Of course authorities are not disclosing the facts! Our only office who recorded the crime of immigrants were told to stop doing it in 2005, for political reasons, to hide the truth from the people. With time they can say that "oh it's old data, we can't draw conclusions for today's society". That's why you see these bullshit vague quotes like in the last point, "involved only in a few police matters" referring to a specific code associated with new arrivals only, in order to downplay immigrant crime.

Of the refuges that arrived in Sweden 2016, only 500 are working.
According to the Migration Department, only 494 of the refuges that arrived in Sweden last year have got a job. It depended – among other things – on the fact that the authorities didn’t prioritize employment when the wave of immigrants was at its peak.
--
My comment: look at the rebuttal. They don't even deny the specific number of 500! Apparently it's true that only 500 are working.

In addition to residence and education, the asylum seekers are receiving one of the state’s most generous financial allowances.
Asylum seekers without assets or an employment might get financial assistance. Per day, per adult, it varies from 19 to 71 Swedish kronor (US equvivalent 2.15 to 8 dollars). The maximum sum per month is 2 201 Swedish kronor (250 US dollars).
The national norm for allowance per adult per month is approximately 4 000 Swedish kronor. For asylum seekers, the Migration Department is also offering housing. The same offering – and education – is given to children applying for asylum.
--
My comment: okay, this is a bit subjective whether it's generous or not. They forgot to tell you that the asulym seekers get their teeth fixed for free, when for Swedes it can cost up to $1800 for one year before the government subsidy kicks in. They forgot to tell that on top of the monthly 4000 kr ($500) and and a place to live, they can get subsidies from the social authorities on top of that depending on what they need.
And once you recieive your permanent residence permit, that's where the really good subsidies come in, many of them who are outright disciminatory towards ethnic Swedes.

There are no-go zones in vulnerable suburbs where the police don’t want to enter because it’s “too dangerous”.
In February 2016, the police released a report listing the most vulnerable suburbs in Sweden. That was the beginning of the term “no go-zones” being used. But it wasn’t used in the report, and it’s not true the police are too afraid to enter these areas.
--
My comment: what an absolute disgusting spin. Yes, the police has a well established concept to describe suburbs where there's a lot of social unrest and it's in these zones specifically that police, firefighters and the ambulance are constantly attacked by mobs and stones from immigrant youth. And many policemen and other officials have admitted that they're afraid to go in, and the police has a "no-confrontation" policy when it comes to these suburbs, which means that often the police simply don't go inside the zone. Law and order is severly undermined in these zones (which are about 70-130 in Sweden depending on what definition u use).
This rebuttal is a joke! It's surreal.
So in summary, Horowitz´ claims are absolutely true:
"Refugees are behind the rise of crime, but authorities are not disclosing theses facts."
"Weapons crime and rapes have risen since Sweden opened its borders."
"Of the refuges that arrived in Sweden 2016, only 500 are working."
"In addition to residence and education, the asylum seekers are receiving one of the state’s most generous financial allowances."
"There are no-go zones in vulnerable suburbs where the police don’t want to enter because it’s “too dangerous”.
It's all true.
Aftonbladet is fake news.
