The XB1 is definitely ahead of the 360 launch aligned in the US. Worldwide, it most likely has fallen behind already. Xbox Wire didn't disclose the XB1 being ahead of the 360 after the 2016 holiday season whereas it did after the 2015 holiday season.

Well VGC still has it ahead but VGC could be wrong and Phill said the best gen yet and then mentioned the XB1S sales so it could possible still be ahead. But in Nas of November 2008 the XBox 360 had sold 25 million WW according to MS and it sold 1.3m in December NPD bringing it to 26.3m as of Nov 2008 in EU/Africa/and the Middle East the XB360 had 7m life time but as of Jan 009 8m sol it sold 1m during the holiday season bring it to 27.3m by the end of 2008. VGC has the XBO at 27.9m at the end of 2016 so if VGC is right then its still ahead.
