your logic doesn't equate, HANDHELD gamers who want a system basically only have the Switch has a choice so its not a direct comparison with the PS4 and Xone.
Its a home + handheld system which on its own, regardless of the library, is insanely appealing.
realistically even something like the 3DS outside of Capcom (Monster Hunter) basically soley depending on Nintendo's first party titles yet has sold 60 something million. The concept that you need the EA/Activision type of games to sell a system is absurd, there are plenty of gamers interested in Indie, niche third party, and Nintendo. At any rate just the fact that we have EA doing a new (ish) Fifa on the Switch and Bethesda porting Skyrim- thats a good sign of things to come
the reality is though if the Switch sells well in the next 6 months the third parties will come.
and honestly if you don't want to buy the Switch OP, then fair enough, but Nintendo has proven multiple times before, especially with their handheld systems, that third party is not always crucial
