I mean, isn't it? Sure, it's just a game and all that, but it is really damn silly for people to stand in the open while being shot at to "wait for a turn."
That's just a break of immersion for me, I can still enjoy a good turn based RPG. No doubt Action RPGs are a bit more casual friendly but I still feel it's the natural progression of combat. Active combat was super rare back in the day but with newer tech, I'm guessing now it's more easily achievable. I know many people perfer the Turn-based combat for the strategic allure of it, but action combat can be just as strategic. Overall, I welcome the change to action combat, it just makes sense.

Thats just it though... I dont care, that I "feel" like Im inside a game, that has its own rules and way of being.
Its not a "natural" progression of combat for games. Its a differnt way to go about things is all.
Turn based > action.

Yeah, that's what I figured. For me, it's a break in immersion and while I like turn based in games like Divinity and Wasteland 2 (like with actual positioning, more tactical) action combat just makes more sense to me and it can also be tactical/strategic with its own mechanics.
Action > turn based
