It seems to me that Sony is dropping the price to combat the Switch launch while Microsoft is doing it to keep up with the PS4.  But I am hearing that the Switch for the most part have pre-orders sold out.

switch will definitely get a price cut, just a matter of when. Why go for a cheaper price when people are happily paying for 300 now?
