That's reaching. It was just some tracks and characters. Nothing truly exceptional, just a good first foray for Nintendo

Couple of things. It added 40% more game. That's an expansion pack like old PC games used to so it did DLC correctly. The other thing is this is FAR from Nintendo's first time in DLC. They have been doing DLC since Famicom. Super Famicom had DLC. Mario Paint 64 had DLC.
