I know it will be a hard pill for some to swallow, but it is inevitable that DL becomes the mainstream choice at some point in the future. You only need to look at YouTube to realize this. In fact, we're witnessing a paradigm shift of sorts, one far greater than moving from SD to HD.
The only question really is how far can Blu-Ray go before it's run over by DL, and that I can't say. It probably has a lot of life left, and I do believe it will be a successful format, but in the long run the stacks are just too heavily against it.
