We Need More Retro Style/Cartoony Games

I agree but I want good games period. Cartoon and retro doesn't equal a good game. There were tons of bad games during older generations. Most retro games suck, just look at Steam. They are wannabes anyway with no originality or substance.

Yup.  Cartoony vs. realistic is meaningless.  What matters is good vs. bad.  The indy games movement has brought about lots of cool stuff.  But, I'd argue that 95% of the "indy" games I see are garbage.  Most of that garbage is "retro" style stuff that wouldn't have made the cut for NES.
