Yup, because Switch is home console and handheld in same time, and Fire Emblem is now returning to home console (because Switch is also home console not just handheld). You obviousle have Zelda BotW that is home console game, Mario Odyyses, Splatoon 2...that are all home console games that will be playable in portable mode of Switch also. Its not really hard to imagine smaller, cheaper version of Switch just for handheld playing that of course plays all Switch games.

So... its coming back to home console... but it isn't because it's a portable... but it is a portable... wow, can this messaging get anymore confusing? Unless... this is you assuming and not what Nintendo said! They have never once refered to the Switch as a portable console. Because they know what it is.

If you pay attention what they are working (unified the hardware and software divisions that before actule were seperate on handheld and home console, talking about problems supporting two different platforms, having handheld and home console games on Switch, now saying that they want that 3DS owner by time upgrade to Switch...), it's very obvious that Switch platform is successor to Wii U and 3DS in same time. Only reason why they still doesnt says clearly that is beacuse 3DS is still selling OK and it could be bouth 2DS for $100 while Switch is $300, but you can bet than in around two years when 3DS dies we will have Switch Portable that will be smaller, cheaper version of Switch just for handheld playing that of course plays all Switch games. On Switch you will have games like Zelda BotW, Mario Odyssey, but also games like Pokemon, Animal Crossing.
