We know the sales peak when there are some factors in play, like a) discounted hardware b) estabilished library of games c)release of expected titles that appeal to new gamers, if there are more factors please let me know
A, B and C are all here for 2017. And we have also PS4 Pro and X1 Scorpio that are going to bring some re-purchases and some new gamers that wanted 4k machines. For PS4 we also have PS VR gaining traction among developers, so people that want VR experiences but don`t want to spend a lot in PC VR right now might get a PS4.
I think PS4/X1 will peak this year and maintain momentum in 2018 when new price cuts come in play.
