Well over the Wii's lifetime it still got a lot of major 3rd party franchsises e.g. Call of Duty, Fifa, Dragon Quest X, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Tomb Raider, etc. Developers stopped putting out games because they didn't sell as the majority of the Wii's install base were casual gamers which had no interest in any theses games.

the Wii probably missed more 3rd party major releases than it got. I wouldnt even put RE up there as it got spinoffs and a port of a port. No RE 5 or 6 (which some people swore 5 was coming.) It more about the TYPE of install base than numbers as we could see with the type of games wii got
