This. I feel he's really grasping here. If we were talking about the DS library...maybe he would be correct as stuff like cooking mama and brain age were real popular, but nobody cares about them anymore, they sold like crap on 3ds compared to the last gen. If we look at the games released on 3ds versus the Wii U they are not that different. Hell lot of the games been put out have been ports of home console titles. These "short burst" games are relegated to indies and even then are available for most systems

Why is every battle in Fire emblem a "chapter", why is monster hunter divided into missions? Why is pokemon divided into Gyms or small areas?

See, the total duration of the game is besides the point. The point is that the games are designed so you can pick them up and make some progress and be able to pick them up again at any time. Also, these short bursts aren't as precise as 5-15 minutes. It can be half an hour, it can be an hour. The defining factor is that they are designed in a way where you can drop and pick them up at any time, wether you play 5-15m or 30-60m.

But, i can see that there is a big unwillingness in understand things that are plain as day and distorting into completely different things.

So, i am not gonna bother anymore. You have your opinion and i have mine.

lol what!? Almost every game, including home console games (where Fire Emblem/Monster Hunter started btw), is divided up in some way, be it chapters, levels, worlds, whatever. Even if a game isn't sectioned up, that has nothing to do with whether or not you can stop playing it at anytime, only how often the game saves does, which most games, again including home console ones, allow you to do at pretty much anytime if not automatically, so your logic makes no sense, unless you're saying every game ever is specifically designed for handheld, in which case your point is moot, though it was already an irrelevant point since it has nothing to do with whether or not the Switch is portable.

Also lol at an hour being considered a short burst. A short burst game is one where you can make progress and get gratification out of 5-20 minute sessions. That isn't enough time to make significant progress in any of the aforementioned games (i.e., getting to the next gym or beating the next chapter), so you'll get little to no satisfaction playing those games for such short intervals at a time.

Of course I'm sure you're well aware that this is way besides the point, so I'll assume you now realize how wrong it is to say the Switch isn't portable and can't be used like a handheld, hence why you're trying to steer the conversation away from that so you don't have to man up and just admit you were wrong.
