Of all the shows you mentioned, I've only watched American Horror Story. I hope that isn't a sign that I'll like the other shows. But in regards to AHS, I wouldn't say all main characters were equally featured, but I will that there was enough substance to the the non/teen chatacters to help flesh out the story arcs.
