Hum... He's in fact very lucky to have seen the Switch in the windows of a FNAC store...
I just went to one of the main FNAC store in my city (second French city), which is probably one of the biggest video game sellers in the area, and well.... No Switch. Or rather, no Switch visible or almost. To find something about the console, you need to go to the tiny pre-order space, and between game cases for games like Horizon and Nier, you'll find a few blank game cases with a Switch picture on it to pre-order the console (and Zelda cases too). If you don't go to the store for the Switch, you basically won't see it.
It was a little bit better in the downtown Micromania (French Gamestop), an ad between 2 For Honor posters and lots of PS4/XOne in the window, and a Switch space has been prepared further in the store with their "sell you current console, get the Switch at 129€" deal. The store is still something like 50% PS4, 20% One, 15% 3DS and 10% PS3 though (the rest is Vita and Switch).
So, maybe it was different in Paris where (and when) Moore visited, but the other stores and cities apparently kind of don't care and barely advertise the launch. I wonder how it will look in March.
