I didn't.
I bought digital and disc games. I just deleted the larger games when I completed them and had no intention to play. You can follow my sig for list of all of my WiiU games. I even labelled which ones were eShop titles. VC has its own column.
The difference with WiiU and others, is that WiiU doesn't force you to install the damn game like others. Hopefully, Switch is the same. Forced install for a physical game is dumb.
