Eh? Insulting someone but saying that they can change doesn't affect the insult in the slightest, if anything it emphasizes that you think they have a personal problem. No one is forever stuck in their ways. Offering your help to rectify a flaw in their person that you percieve is patronizing and potentially even more insulting.

It may not be an exactly suitable example but saying "You're stupid, but that can be changed, I can help with that." Is still very insulting.

You're not here to tell people they have a problem in their personality and that you're going to fix it.

I think that more sales of a console will benefit the owenrs of that console to some degree! So it does affect us as customers a little I think.
