Keep in mind You can Play it in 1080p 30 fps on OG PS4 just like Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne run on PS4

To render twice the frames 720p is an obvious choince.

And a good one; given the choice, I personally would always opt for 720p/60fps over 1080p/30fps.
