In Brazil, many people buy new systems just for FIFA/PES. I think that is probably the case in Europe too.
Personally, I wait for two to three years to buy a new one and prefer PES. In 15's edition, Fifa won me. I still don't know about 17, maybe I'll wait until Fifa 18/PES 2018.
