Some don't like comparing both companies in their respective entireties as if entire company divisions don't exist. Some prefer to focus on revenue rather than profit when profit may be a better indicator of economic wellbeing.

I'm interesting to see a profit comparison on Sony vs MS vs Nintendo. I don't think MS divulged that breakdown yet. Sony did 135b yen in profit (which is guaranteed to be the most), but it'll likely the highest for the rest of the generation.
