So this is a necropost RE the Wii U. I see that it has reached 13.56 million units sold at the end of 2016, and it had 12.5 million at the end of 2015. Only 1 million consoles for the year compared to an average > 4 million per year for the first 3 years.
It really shows just how badly it tanked due to a lack of software and an erosion in the confidence consumers had for the console. Now, with production stopped I'm assuming about 14 million lifetime is about right.
