Pushing a game like this actively harms Switch's image, because people might start to see the system itself as gimmicky and lame by association. Thankfully it isn't bundled, so hopefully it flops.

I mean you keep saying that but I have seen some people legitimately interested in the game, including people who aren't big Nintendo fans.  And so long as Nintendo keeps it framed as a scew-around-with-friends side show rather than the main event, no one will care.  If this were their Superbowl showpiece or big pack in seller, I would be more upset but it isn't.
