These projections always have the same flaw, they assume that the console space will remain stagnant, while everything else moves forward. That doesn't make sense. ALL tech will move forward at the same relative rate, it will simply be a question of what choices the consumers will make. In what form will they want their gaming entertainment and will consoles be able to offer them the solution they want? As long as the console business understands what gamers want, they will remain in the race. Sony for one seems to be doing a good job so far, the only time they have stumbled was during the PS3 era, they made some weak choices there but they learned from it and recovered their position.
