Maybe, but then people clearly didn't want to play those games otherwise they would have sold more in the 1st place. Look at Mk8 it sold amazing because that's a game people wanted. Add to that Animal Crossing, Metroid, Kirby and Fire Emblem and you probably be right.

Not too sure about Metroid  and Kirby,  honestly think there just a nice little incentive or bonus really. Animal crossing can definitely shift consoles though. I mean these are the games nintendo should be making not stuff like Star fox zero and project guard or whatever it was called. Get these big sellers out there and don't taint them with shit like Amiboo AC thing and the already mentioned SF zero. Didn't they release some garbage metroid  game too.  They trying to kill off some smaller Franchises lol
