This is where literally all your credibility dies, you cant say Mario Odyssey & Breath of the Wild are just prettier versions of Mario 64 & Ocarina of Time right after saying Call of Duty has changed alot. You could not be more contradictory if you tried.

Did you not see the part when i said THIS GENERATION. And I know your rebuttal will be "but im talking about home consoles" in which case that would be cherry picking again. If 80% of a company's userbase comes from a certain market than you can't exclude it. That would be the equivalent of me saying the Playstation brand is dying because Vita was a failure while completely ignoring the huge success of PS4.

Good 3rd party support=a sizeable selection of high quality, 3rd party titles. Wii had that.

Okay, so how has Mario Kart changed in the last 10 years? Call of Duty changed its characters, settings, entire health system, storyline's, constantly evolving MP modes, introduced zombies with CoD: WaW etc. Compare Mario Kart 64 to the latest instalment and they are practically identical. Compare CoD 1, 4 and Infinite Warfare and apart from being FPS', they have almost nothing in common.

What about this generation? The Wii U was the single worst selling console ever if you look at sales rates, and the 3DS has been their worst selling handheld (outsold by the DS, Advance, Color and Gameboy), so I'm not sure what you're getting at, unless it's "Nintendo are doing badly and clearly need to rethink their strategy".

"A sizeable selection of high-quality 3rd party titles" - considering it doesn't have the essentials in there, I wouldn't consider it to be sizeable. Also, let's not digress, the Switch will not have such a selection, meaning it'll suffer from exactly the same issue as the Wii U did; appeal to Nintendo fans, a dying breed, and no one else.
