Let's face it. As long as latest FPS and sports games are present on the Switch, this system will sell. If you add some othe blockbusters like Fallout or GTA to the mix, it's pretty much guaranteed. They'll have one system to please all sorts of customers. From fanboys, through casuals to hardcore-ish(?) gamers. There's no denying that being able to play your favourite games on the go is really appealing for most of people.
Also, Nintendo might have another good argument to keep 3rd party support. They can treat the system as the bridge between current gen games and potential future mobile development. As Switch is ARM based, once game's developed, it can stay there and be easily ported to any future, powerful enough, mobile device. And we all know that those games, in one form or another, eventually will get released on the mobile market as publishers simply follow the money (GTA series for example).
