How has Mario Karts changed in the last 30 years? Or Mario? Whether you like it or not, Call of Duty has changed a lot since the original game, and Fifa has evolved as well. Also, you can't say that because one game hasn't changed much, it's not important - that's just hilariously naive of the market. Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are somehow new and fresh? You mean Super Mario 64 and OoT, with slighly better graphics...If you want to see some actual change, go compare RE 1, 4 and 7. Not only are the mechanics different, but the way the story is told has completely changed. Nintendo just release the same games with the same characters and barely more than a new splash of paint, hence why it's struggling to draw in new customers because people just don't care about those franchises like they once did. Spout off whatever facts you want about Nintendo's previous performance, but you missed out that the Wii U was the worst performing console ever in terms of sales over time, and that's when the gaming market is the largest it's ever been. But y'know what, harping on about past glories will surely undo all of that. That sort of thinking is exactly why Nintendo is dying, and you can't argue that it isn't considering in the last few years it's started to post it's first ever quartely losses. So define "good" 3rd party support if you think it doesn't mean the console has to have the most popular 3rd party titles...Are you going to sit there and argue shovelware can be considered "good"? Can't wait to read this response.... |
This is where literally all your credibility dies, you cant say Mario Odyssey & Breath of the Wild are just prettier versions of Mario 64 & Ocarina of Time right after saying Call of Duty has changed alot. You could not be more contradictory if you tried.
Did you not see the part when i said THIS GENERATION. And I know your rebuttal will be "but im talking about home consoles" in which case that would be cherry picking again. If 80% of a company's userbase comes from a certain market than you can't exclude it. That would be the equivalent of me saying the Playstation brand is dying because Vita was a failure while completely ignoring the huge success of PS4.
Good 3rd party support=a sizeable selection of high quality, 3rd party titles. Wii had that.
