Well, 95.75% of Steam gaming happens on Windows, even with an upwards trend. Windows 10 is already on half of the Steam PCs, which enhances the probability that more and more of these Steam gamers also buy some games from the Windows marketplace (they won't leave their Steam games behind, but add the Windows store to their buying options). Some Xbox360 gamers who switched to PC instead of Xbox One might even prefer the Windows marketplace, because they keep their achievement progress and friend lists.

I'm sure Microsoft ain't too unhappy with the current situation.
