I think it can kill it among WiiU owners who has the first one. First of all it seems more like a port with some added features rather than a sequel. So it wouldn't make sense for WiiU owners to buy a new game for a new console with paid online. So, I think it depends on Switch success. If a lot of people who doesn't have WiiU will buy it then Nintendo won't have any problems with Splatoon 2
