True, the DS support became strong much later. And I do expect the Wii to get more support in the way of very good third party games. But it will not be the same. The DS has almost 70% of the market. The Wii will be lucky to get 55% of the market. Additionally, it is well known that the PSP has had a horrible attach rate. The consoles all seem to have similiar attach rates. As such, you can still make a decent amount of money with a PS3/Xbox360 only game. Lastly, same publishers feel that when they deliver a premium product (FF, MGS) that it needs to have HD graphics or they'll lose their perceived quality. So yes, the Wii 3rd party support will get better, but even if it outsells the PS2, it won't be the DS of the consoles.
