Yes, that's what they've been doing with mobile, but it's not a staple the same way as 3DS. Or to put the other way, it's not their another platform. To free up resources to put out more games just doesn't work if all you do is put the resources elsewhere. Unlike mobile, 3DS can generate money with 3rd party sales. 100M isn't really that much when you think of Nintendo's revenue. Of course it's "something", but I think Nintendo is aiming higher. If Pokemon Go was performing above expectations, Super Mario Run is underperforming hugely. |
