I havent played the game yet, and please dont spoil me on this, but I have read on reviews that this links to the past entries in the series, through journal entries and whatnot(the extra collectibles that gives backstory).Not to mention that its a return to roots too, and many reviewers says this feels Re.really Keortan, find another excuse.The new IP one is getting really tiring.

It feels absolutely nothing like RE4, RE5 and RE6. 

 

Again if this was named outlast 3 people wouldn't know any different.  New Ip in all but name.  The old days of the original IP are long gone.
