I think you don't think it works because you haven't been alive long enough to see it happen. The real issue is that from protests to law is usually a process that could take decades. Very few movements keep the momentum it needs.

I agree with it. Trump is in the office already and he is working fast. He has enough time to push all his projects and the opposition can do nothing with it. Next election is the moment where the movement shall organise itself.

Also, protest on the streets looks bad in the TV. Bad press, I will name it.
