and MMA fighters have generally gotten their asses kicked in boxing.
From personal experience, i won a national MMA title and qualified for a national kickboxing tournament (couldnt attend due to injury) in 2012 but didnt even place in the top 8 at the regional Golden Gloves that same year. I qualified for nationals in Greco-Roman wrestling my senior year in high school yet couldnt get past the first round of the regional NAGA (submission grappling) tournament the following year.
