It's not very easy to tell which gets more views. At tier 2 events (nationals), Smash 4 might get more views. At super majors, Melee destroys Smash 4 viewership, unless Smash 4 is the final event, in which case is pretty close. 

I do think Smash 4 deserves the Sunday spot on Mandalay Bay, simply because it's the second biggest game. It doesn't make sense to have a bracket with more players be shorter than one with less players.

S4 has done better at tier 1 events through out the whole of last year in fact what you posted is more vice versa.
