This one is going to end well.

People are saying "people" instead of "I" because there is historical reference that shows that the majority of the world in each gen, with a few exceptions of course, gravitate toward the more capable and mainstream products. So far for many the Switch has been underwhelming, just like the Wii U was. Thus, looking at how the Wii U did, we are able to project how we feel the Switch will do; especially in markets outside of Japan where the handheld piece isn't a major selling point.

Just for the fact that are excepetions, this "felling" all falls apart. You can't predict the switch fortune just by looking for the wii u, since people in this site can't even make a proper list of the reasons why the wii u failed.

Based on that logic we can never predict anything ever in our lives because of exceptions.  Sports betting is now completely off the table because we can't predict what is going to happen.  Science itself is completely off the table because we can no longer make predictions based on previously viewed data.

Sounds to me like you are the one living in the bubble and not the rest of us.  Give us reasons why the Wii U - a system that has had its first party development halted after less than 5 years on the market - didn't fail, as you imply in a later post.  Give us actual reasons why you believe that the Switch will do things any differently than the Wii U did.  I would go into the why it probably will fail (outside of Japan) but others have already done so and I don't feel like repeating the argument.
