I agree, paying for it once and if you want the expansions buy it, that's how every other kind of game is, and most of them provide online support just as well, so even if FF XIV is full focused, they shouldn't charge for it.

You're not using PSN though. You use Square's servers to play the game online.

and the whole reason why the game is able to be more enticing is BECAUSE it has a sub fee. To say that Square does it to be greedy is insane, because the content isn't the same. GW2 doesn't compare.
