Just a reminder that Star Wars borrowed liberally from The Hidden Fortress, Flash Gordon, and The Dam Busters. While I agree TFA recycles many of the beats of ANH, it still manages to tell a story with a sense of style, humor, and joy -- something sorely lacking in Rogue One. TFA also has interesting, relatable characters that have clear motivation and change throughout the movie. In Rogue One we have a bunch of gray, boring, forgettable characters and a story that is only interesting in how it relates to a much more engaging story we already know. |
Whatever is lacking in Rogue one, we can do without... bar lightsabers.
Sorry, it just means i disagree. :)
Besides there was joy and humor on Rogue one. I even have a T-shirt of him. K2SO for droid president!
