You are misunderstanding something here.

The PS Move is overpriced. It has very old tech inside of it that is currently inferior to the Wii Motion Plus controller/ The new Wii controllers with Wii Motion Plus built in. I believe those are cheaper as well. It has about 9 hours of battery life.

The Joycons are not. Based on everything presented and seen thus far they are high grade and have a lot of tech in it. I believe 2 cost the same as 2 Wii Motion Plus controllers. Its battery last for 20 hours

HOWEVER, the underlying issue is this:

- The PS Move controller largely optional to buy; I say optional because there are still some games that require its use. if you are buying the console it is not included thus the system overall is cheaper.

- The Joycons are bundled with the system. People are dissatisfied with the overall price of the Switch. Despite being reasonably priced. and instead of merely complaining that the added cost of the Joycons, some will take the extra step to say the Joycons are overpriced, despite it being fairly priced, as a means to cope with their frustration

So far there is only one game in existence that requires the Joycons and that is 1-2-Switch, how does that make them not optional? The case in which they are not optional is when you want to use the handheld but 2 are included anyway with the handheld which is all you need for that function.

Well 1-2 switch from what I've seen only uses 2 joycons at a time, which come with the system.

Arms, with local play can use 4 joycons. So Arms is the only game that requires one to purchase extra controllers.

Now in the future when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comes that is another game that coudl use 4 controllers locally. Purchase those wheel casings like teh Wii game and pop in a joycon controller. (now of course people will say, who the hell uses that control method)

But just like Arms, Mario Kart 8 can use a standard controller.
