| Intrinsic said: But what else would Nintendo fans have said? Thats like asking a potato wht it thinks about potatoes..... They should have gone to something like PSX and ask PS fans what they think about the switch. Now that would have been interesting. |
I was originally gonna ask you to read just the bold out loud and see if it made sense to you, but please read the entire thing out loud to yourself.
I have rarely see such a terrible analogy written with such sincerety. A potato and a potato are the EXACT same thing. You are basically equating people to pieces of plastic and glass..............
Aside from... that, the rest makes just as little sense. You are suggesting that instead of going to people who were at the event and actually tried the system, you are suggesting they go to a completely different event to people who have not even touched the system. This is ludacris. It's like saying:
"Hmm, people who like Italian food seem to really love how they used ink their spaghetti. Instead of asking them, I am going to ask someone who really likes Indian curry and have not tried the spaghetti for their opinion on how it tastes. Surely their opinion on how it tastes is more valid than those who have tried it."
This is how you do an analogy by the way..............
| KBG29 said: I do believe you are refering to this "Rather than smartphone games, I've been hoping for a portable device with console style games..." I fully agree, and I know he is not alone. That is why I have been saying Sony and Nintendo need to release Handheld/Phone hybrids for years. There is a massive market for 3DS and Vita games on Phones, and even more so PS4/XBO games. Had Nintendo released a 4G model of the Switch, I have no doubt it would be their biggest selling console ever, with them selling 50M in Japan alone. I still hope we see a Switch Phone in the future. They could easily slim down the unit, use a 5" screen, and get more battery life with a 10nm 4G Tegra chip in the next two years. It would be a massive boost to their platform, and give them a real chance to fight back into the hardware space. |
Yep, you got it, but I have to disagree with what you said. You are sating they could easily do that, but can they do it really or is that based on your desire rather than actual analysis of cost and execution? Speaking of cost, how much would a game console that doubles as a home console cost? Sony tried a phone that could play Vita games, and although that wasn't a home console experience it was still a console experience. How succesful was that?
